Objective: The game of Stay ComPOSED will introduce basic Yoga poses to help students practice being still in a world filled with chaos. Stay ComPOSED also provides a fun, high-energy outlet for students to reinforce fitness skills and practice number recognition, number comparisons, and determining “greater than” and “less than.” -
Objective: Student teams will explore various ways to develop and improve ball manipulation and the slingshot skills of trajectory, force, accuracy, visual tracking, and improvement of socialization skills through the innovative game of Slingshot. It is recommended to play Slingshot after the game of Launch It! -
OBJECTIVE: Watch teams “Make Moolah” in this cooperative game that will allow students the opportunity to explore various ways to develop and improve ball manipulation, and slingshot skills of trajectory, force, and accuracy. Making Moolah also provides a great way to introduce money recognition and counting money, while integrating fitness. A great prerequisite game to Making Moolah is the game Alpha-Bet You Can -
OBJECTIVE: To reinforce the skills of throwing, catching, accuracy, cooperation, hand-eye coordination, and teamwork in a time where the future of physical education is a stake. SCENARIO: The future of physical education is at stake because the FBI has informed all PE teachers to be on alert for a mysterious villain known as the “sedentary terrorist”. The sedentary terrorist is against kids getting active and having fun, threatening to destroy the gymnasiums all over the world. I entered our gym this morning and found what appears to be explosives lying everywhere. I need your help! In order to save our gym from destruction and losing our physical education program, we must work together to disarm all of the explosives and defeat the evil, sedentary terrorist. -
OBJECTIVE: It’s Going to Blow is a great lead up game for lifetime games such as Cornhole, KanJam, and Kid’s Cup Pong. Students will develop and refine Frisbee, bean bag and ball throwing/tossing, and bouncing skills for accuracy, learning to demonstrate and execute hitting targets at various distances. SCENARIO: the evil and sinister Clive Crazington has infiltrated our school and armed enough explosives that will release the zombie virus if all of the explosives are not disarmed in time. It’s up to the students of place your school name here to work as a team to disarm all of the explosives in order to save the entire school from the zombie outbreak. -
OBJECTIVE: In “The Rivalry”, students will have fun facing various opponents in this friendly competition among teams who are trying to defeat their rivals. Each team will compete against other teams by playing Rock, Paper, Scissors or rolling dice to collect points or to perform exercises in order to win The Rivalry. -

OBJECTIVE: Dragster Blaster is a unique, exhilarating game that originated from the game “Polo Derby” from my first book, No Standing Around in My Gym: Creative Lesson Plans, Games, and Teaching Tips for Elementary Physical Education, Human Kinetics Publishers, Inc., October of 2002. In this bizarre game of building and driving a dragster, students will improve their fitness and cardiovascular endurance, offensive and defensive strategies, teamwork, and throwing accuracy.
